We do not recommend play tops for the following reasons:

 1)  They take away cage space that can be used to hang swings and boings (which most parrots love);

 2)  The tray used for the play top blocks too much light, so your bird is always living in a "shadow";

 3)  Some parrots, as they mature, may go through a "testing phase".  If they are placed on a perch above you, they may feel that you are in no position to control them and therefore may disobey your "step-up" command by possibly biting and/or backing away out of reach.  We feel it is best to avoid this possible scenerio as opposed to having to re-train your bird if he learns negative behaviors from it.

For many parrots we find it is best to use a separate play stand or table-top stand.   However, you know your bird best and we will gladly order a play top if you wish.

We do not ship cages.  You must pick up your cage at our location in Oakley.  Most cages take 1-3 weeks (some just a few days) for arrival at our location for you to pick up.  Please email for a more accurate time estimate.
